Maciej Tański

About the trainer

Maciej Tański is a mediator, trainer and consultant in conflict and change management. Since mid 90s he designed and implemented training and consulting programs for thousands of NGO, government, business, and citizen representatives. He mediates civil, family and business cases on regular basis.
He also has experience conducting training-for-trainer programs in a wide array of topics including negotiations and mediation skills. He led program implementation and trainings in Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine.
Maciej has been an initiator of educational and infrastructural school programs in Kenya since 2009 with dozens of schools built and thousands of children receiving health care and better education.
He writes on mediation for non-lawyers, promoting this amicable dispute resolution method (in Polish).
For over than 25 years Maciej has been the Executive Director of Partners Poland Foundation (member of PartnersGlobal), a Polish non-governmental organization committed to promoting the culture of peaceful conflict resolution and democratic decision-making. He also was the founding member of the Association of Family Mediators and currently serves as its vice-president.
Between 2005 and 2019 he was a member and a chairperson of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Council advising to the Minister of Justice of Poland.
In 2015 he was awarded the Weinstein JAMS International Fellowship; now is the Senior Fellow at Weinstein International Foundation.
