About the trainer

CEM’s Chairman, Federico Antich, has been a Mediator in Italy for over 20 years and carried out more than five thousands proceedings with different Mediation Institutions. In this Country he is among the few Trainers in ADR who received formal Training for Trainers (T4T) in the USA and in the UK. As a Member Patron of the International Mediation Institute (IMI, the Hague) Mr. Antich was a member of the IMI Mediator Training and Competency Assessment Task Force’s Steering Committee involved with the design of standards for skills training and competency assessment for Mediators that were lately adopted by the Council of Europe (CoE). Mr. Antich is the first Italian to be inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators (IAM). He is a practicing Attorney at law in Firenze, holds an LLM Degree from Suffolk University Law School, Boston and Membership status with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb). He currently serves as the CO-Chair of the International Bar Association (IBA) Mediation Committee. He has been involved for nearly two decades in teaching the theory and practice of non-contentious dispute resolution, having also received certification as a trainer of trainers in mediation by CEDR, by Mediation Works Inc. Boston (MWI) and as a trainer in higher education by the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning at Harvard University.
