About the trainer

Greta Persico is a trained mediator on penal, labour and school Mediation at Me.Dia.Re. and she is currently qualifying as a Family Mediator with a thesis on family mediation with LGBTQ+ families in Italy. Since 2012 she has been working as in Italy and abroad as supervisor, trainer and consultant for public bodies and NGOs on different topics such as social mediation, conflict management in work and school environments, social innovation. She graduated in Pedagogical Counselling (MA) and held a PhD at the University of Milan-Bicocca (Italy) in Education Studies with a thesis on formal and informal mediation, in the relationships between minority groups (Roma, Sinti and Calon) and institutions. Later on she has been a post-doc researcher in Sociology of Education at the University of Bergamo as she was a lecturer in Specialization Courses on the topic of gender violence and bullying. She has published books and scientific articles both nationally and internationally, including, with Laura Boschetti and Federico Buscarino (images by), ‘Abitare le biografie nell’esecuzione penale esterna’, a visual research on a Restorative Justice project in Bergamo city, Italy (2020, Edizioni Lubrina Bramani).
